I live in Michigan and im going off to college next fall. I was just looking around the Study Abroad programs in Czechs Republic. Is it cheaper to go to college abroad? and could you please show me a College or University in a foreign Country that is cheaper. Thank you so much.
Answer:Doing a study abroad program via your home university is different than going to another country right from the get go.
A study abroad program usually means spending only a semester, maybe a year, in another country before returning to your university in the US. The cost for tuition doesn't change, you pay your university's tuition price.
If you mean that you want to move away from the US and receive your degree from a university in another country, then it will cost you quite a bit more money since you'll be registering as an international student. You can expect to pay 2 or 3 times more than local students.
I wouldn't advise receiving your degree from the Czech Republic, but if you want to study abroad there for a semester, go for it.
