Ive been going to the job centre for 9 or so months now and its come to the time when i want to persue different things to get me out of this rut ive been in.

i want to go back to college.

My main problem atm, At the job centre im about to be put on something called seetech which is a 13 week course. Something which i havent heard great things about. Now as im going to be going back to college in september im not sure what i can do. The Jsa money is vital to me ,without it i wouldnt be able to live and to keep it i will have to go on this 13 week course.

So what do i do , If i explained to my advisor what my intentions are would i be able to keep my jsa up to september? I know technically its not seeking a job but it is seeking other roots to get me off jsa for the time being. I really need to stay on it right up until september but i cant go to this 13 week course and intentionally lie and turn down jobs in order to keep it then leave for college (Not sure how close that verges on fraud.

I really need some insight!

Answer:Hi, I 2 am due to go on a 13 week course starting tomorrow, n i have got firm places in college for september. The only thing is to go to college as well as do the 13 week course is not possible. I had to apply to go to college and do evening classes, so i could go to the 13 week course through the day. i told my advisor that i would be attending college in september, and she told me that because it would conflict with the jobcentre course i could not go to college as the 13 weeker takes presidence over college. i then explained to her that i would be going in the evenings and she said that it would be fine to do that as long as u r not studying for more than 16 hours a week. My suggestion to u is to try to find out whether the course u want to do is run in the evenings and if so do it that way and go to the 13 weeker in the day, if not i would see ur advisor and have a talk with them and explain that u want to go to college and it conflicts with the jobcentre course and see if u can come to some arrangement. Also if u do get to go to college while still on jsa u can get a reduction or a waive on ur fees so u can go for near enough free.

Good Luck, hope u get into college x
