Dicionary definition of bearing:
relevant relation or interconnection; example: "those issues have no bearing on our situation"
Would it sound the same if i replaced "no bearing" to "no impact"?
When would it be better to use bearing instead of impact? Please provide examples if you can. THANKS VERY MUCH!
Answer:It would have a similar meaning but it is more appropriate to use "bearing" because it means there would be no relevance. "No impact" would mean no effect.
Example:
The bearing of this situation will be great. This talks about how the importance of the situation will affect something, like why it's important for students to go to school.
The impact of this situation will be great. this talks about how the result of the situation will affect something, like what we learn from school.
